About Seymour Arm
Life in Seymour Arm means embracing the rhythm of the land. This is a true off-grid experience — but without sacrificing comfort. The Lakehouse produces its own solar power, provides potable water, and handles its own waste systems, creating a sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle. On cloudy days, you may need to briefly run the generator to top off the battery system. It’s a small part of living in harmony with the environment and makes the experience here that much more unique. Seymour Arm is home to just 88 year-round residents, though the population swells to over 1,000 during the summer months as vacationers return year after year to enjoy its remote charm, unspoiled beauty, and welcoming community.
Located just two hours from Kamloops, with boat launches available in Seymour Arm, Sicamous, Scotch Creek, and Anglemont, getting here is part of the adventure — and well worth the journey. Whether you’re boating, swimming, lounging, or simply enjoying a quiet evening under the stars, this lakeside sanctuary offers a chance to disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with what matters most.

Off-Grid Living
Seymour Arm Lakehouse is a fully off-grid property, powered by solar energy with backup generator support during extended periods of low sunlight. For the most part, guests can enjoy all the comforts of home. However, during cloudy days, the system may rely on a generator (“Jenny”) to maintain power. This is normal for off-grid living and may result in occasional generator use. Don’t worry, we will give you instructions on its use!
We ask guests to be mindful of power consumption during their stay. Simple measures such as turning off unused lights and limiting high-energy appliances help ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience for everyone.
Off-grid living is part of what makes Seymour Arm so special – quiet, remote, and completely immersed in nature – with just the right balance of comfort.
